Rene is a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa with deep roots in Sonoma County and a passion for helping others achieve homeownership. After graduating from Cardinal Newman High School, he earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento. He later received his MBA from University of San Francisco, building a strong foundation in business and finance.
Rene’s career spans more than three decades in family business and financial leadership. He played a key role in developing his family’s winery and event center, gaining hands-on experience in operations, customer service, and management. He later served as CFO of OptiRev, where he helped guide strategic growth and financial performance.
His travels across Europe, Africa, and Asia—including time spent in Nepal and Thailand—shaped his appreciation for people, culture, and relationships, values that define his approach to client service today.
In 2026, Rene launched his third career in real estate, bringing a disciplined, client-first approach rooted in decades of business experience. He specializes in helping first-time buyers, local families, and clients navigating lifestyle transitions, with a focus on Sonoma County and Wine Country properties. Known for his integrity, attention to detail, and calm, solutions-oriented mindset, Rene is committed to making the buying and selling process clear, strategic, and successful.
Rene has been actively involved in the local community for many years. He is a member of the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber, where he has served on the Advocacy Council, and has held leadership roles as a board member of the Sonoma County Hospitality Association. He has also contributed as an advisor to Visit Santa Rosa and as a committee member of Sonoma County Tourism, reflecting his deep commitment to the region’s growth and success.
He lives in Sonoma County and is a proud father of three children, Adianka MArijke (18), Brycen Russell (15) and Alexia Rae (12).
